In Loving Memory
My partner Donna Whitlock died unexpectedly in her sleep, peacefully and in no pain, of a heart attack on Monday 16th February 2009 aged 60. She was a prolific artist and musician, bouncy and full of life, her passing is much mourned by myself and all who knew her.
Her funeral took place in Bodmin on Monday 2nd March 2009 at 1.30 pm. Many of her old friends attended as did new friends made in Cornwall. The service was packed and many people had to stand at the back.
Afterwards we held a reception which turned into a rousing wake, sad but also joyous.
In accordance with her wishes Donna's ashes were scattered on Looe Island around the old chapel site on Thursday 5th March 2009.
Donna told me once that she did not want to leave Cornwall - now she will never have to.

Kevin Buxton & Kontra Band - New CD Launch!
Kevin Buxton and Kontra band's new full length CD, DOWN ANY ROAD, was
completed in 2006, and to celebrate its release we had a launch
gig at top Bedford roots venue, THE ENT SHED on Saturday 28th October.
(The Ent Shed is at the Gordon Arms on Castle Road, Bedford, MK40 3QY). The evening also marked the launch of independent roots record label,
Coalshed Music, who have recorded and released the CD.
We are all extremely pleased with the new album, and fans will be delighted to hear that it contains all the songs that have become firm audience favourites at K&KB gigs over the last year.
Supporting
the band at The Ent Shed were several acts either associated with the
label or with the band: Ruby Muse, Martin Nelson, Brendan Read-Jones, and
April Elizanbeth, plus a variety of fine musicians accompanying them.
Kevin and the band played the whole of the new album live
at the gig, where their usual line-up were augmented by several
excellent guest players.
